Wands
So… wands became a bit of a side project because building swords just left me with nice bits of leftover wood that really deserved better then “The Stove”. So I started out with putting bits and pieces together and then turned it into a magic wand. It was a nice gift for my sister’s daughter. And it sort of went from there. I now make custom wands to order. Let me know what you’d like and I’ll see what I can do.
Contrary to swords, I can give you price ranges for wands right off the bat: “Just the wand: 35€” “Fancy special wand: 55€” “Any wand in an oh so sexy tailored wooden box: 125€”
Archeology’s Gift

Wand of the well. Oak. 1100 years old. It's black because I made it from wood that was part of a hollowed out tree trunk used in a medieval well.

The hollow oak trunk used as support in the medieval well. We had it dated at around 900 a.d., making it over 1000 years old. I used the discarded wood for the Wand of the well.

Swirly handle

Wand of the deep. Experiments with sanding, drilling and fine yellow copper wire. Irocco wood.

Second Edition

First two wands I made on a lathe. For a friend's daughters. Wenge for the dark one, walnut for the lighter one. The walnut one actually got an extra oval slit in the handle perpendicular to the one in the picture... but I forgot to take a picture...

The stocky one. Made for my second son. He loves screwdrivers and likes to destroy things. So it ended up being short and thick and screwdrivery. Syringa Vulgaris wood.

The Invisible Wand. Made for my youngest son. He's 7 months old... he eats everything. So I made it rather hard for him to find and eat it. Made from Woodus Notseeablus.

The Wand Of Cats. Irocco wood, made for a friend's daughter. Turned out quite nice!
First Edition

The Wand of Scraps. Oak, Paddouk, Wenge, Irocco. The very first wand made by me. For my sister's daughter.

It's called the second wand. Even though it's not the second one at all. Syringa Vulgaris wood, box in walnut.

My wand. Wenge wood, box in Paddouk.

The Snake Wand. Experiments with layers. Wenge and Oak. Layered and shaped.

The Snake Wand and it's box in Oak.

The Swirly White. Syringa Vulgaris wood in a Paddouk box.

The Elephant Wand. Now there's a special one. Made to order for my nephew's wife's birthday. Cherry root wood, elephant heartstring core. Oaken box.

My eldest son's wand. Experiments with opened handles. Wenge with an oak "fix". :D

The Harlequin's wand. Made to order for a friend's daughter's birthday. Wenge and Paddouk, combined in a cross type shape and then shaped and swirlied.
